As the District Commander, Butch Charles serves as the Chief Administrative Officer for all Royal Ranger outposts within the Arkansas District.  He is responsible for coordinating and promoting the Royal Rangers program within the district.  Butch began his Royal Ranger ministry at  Booneville First Assembly (Outpost #99) in 1981, where he served in all leadership positions at the local outpost level as well as the Senior Commander.  Butch went on to train at NTC, Staff School, National Academy (Phase I), BSTC, NULC, Turning Point, and ICS.  He has served on staff for NTC, BSTC, NULC, OMRA and is currently a certified Instructor Trainer for the LTC.  He has been a member of FCF since 1987, where he now serves as the Executive Chairman.  He served as the FCF Scribe from 1991 to 1998, achieved the FCF Wilderness rating in 1991 and he has been active in the Trapper's Brigade since 1987.  He is also a member of the National Royal Ranger Council and he has served as our District Commander since 1998.  He and his wife, Ginger, have two married sons, and live in rural Greenwood, Arkansas.  He is the Production Manager at Calvert McBride Printing in Fort Smith, where he has worked since 1980.
