Course Descriptions
Ranger Basics
|
This is a new training course
released in 2002 that is designed to give leaders a thorough yet concise overview of the Royal Ranger
program, providing them with all the basic information
they need to lead their outpost. All leaders are
encouraged to take this course which is required for the
LMA. This is an 8-hour course. |
Instructor Certification Seminar (ICS)
|
The Instructor Certification
Seminar is a special training event for leaders who seek
to become instructors in the Leadership Training Academy.
All candidates must have earned the Leader's Medal of
Achievement, attend National Training Camp (NTC), and
have been a leader in their outpost for at least 2 years.
Candidates must complete a home study course and a
teaching apprenticeship before attending an ICS.
Applicants are therefore encouraged to begin the process
as early as possible in order to allow enough time to
complete these requirments before the date of the ICS.
This seminar is normally completed in one Saturday. |

module for those seeking to earn the Leader's Medal of
Achievment (LMA). This camp provides leaders will all the
basic skills needed to safely and effectly take a group
of boys camping. This camp normally lasts 24 hours. |
Other

|
A variety
of training modules are required in order to earn the
Leader's Medal of Achiemvent (LMA). Additional modules
are released each year. For information concerning the
availability of additional modules please contact Charles
